What age group does Kids World cater for?

Kids World caters for children aged 0 -11 years.

Adults & children under 12 months are always FREE.

Both adults and children MUST bring grip-free socks to wear.

Kids World has:

• A designated under 5’s area for 0-4 years
• A HUGE inflatable slide for ages 3-11 years
• An over 5’s area for children aged 5-11 years including:
• Giant cannon ball battle zone
• Trampolines
• 3 storied wave slide

What services do Kids World provide?

Can I bring a birthday cake into your centre?

Unfortunately unless you have a party booking where your NUT-FREE cake is served in the private party room you cannot bring your own cake into our centres.

Are deposits, part payments or final payments refundable?

No. party and private hire booking deposits, part payments and final payments are non-refundable.

What conditions of entry must we follow to visit Kids World?

• Both adults and children using the play areas MUST be wearing GRIP-FREE socks
• We don’t allow you to bring your own food or drinks into our centre with the exception of bottled water and NUT-FREE baby puree for children under 12 months but no solids. This is not only because we have a delicious gourmet cafe but we need to ensure products containing common allergens are not brought into our centre.
• Kids World is a NUT FREE centre
• No glass bottles/keep cups
• There MUST be one supervising adult 18 years or older at all times
• Trollies are not allowed in our centres
• No children with casts or broken limbs
• For safety no running inside our centres
• Kids World accepts no responsibility for any lost or stolen articles. Keep your valuables with you or within close proximity.
• Fun pass, Multiplay pass and any other vouchers are not valid on public holidays

All rules, safety signs and staff instructions MUST be followed when attending Kids World Playland & Cafe

Can adults go inside the play areas?

Adults are encouraged to supervise, monitor and support children to encourage safe play while attending Kids World. Adults must always wear socks in the play areas and are not permitted to use the slides, trampolines or webbing while supervising their children as these activities are for children 5-11 years only.

Are smoking and consuming alcohol allowed?

Smoking and the consumption of alcohol on any of Kids World premises is strictly not permitted and will result in the termination of playtime or the cancellation of your booking/function.

Do I need to look after/watch my child while visiting Kids World?

Although Kids World staff are trained to monitor the play areas and encourage safe play the ultimate responsibility for supervision of the children remains that of the parents or guardians.

What happens if myself or my child is injured?

Kids World has trained first aid officers on site at all times to help even with the smallest of injuries.

Kids World requires all accidents or incidents to be reported to either a first aid officer or the manager on duty.

Kids World accepts no responsibility for injuries, nor will it entertain any claims for damages, resulting from the use or misuse of the playland or any other areas inside the centre.

What are the rules on the slides?

To ensure the safety of children using the slides and to reduce friction burns at Kids World the slide rules must be followed:

• No adults on the slide
• GRIP-FREE Socks must be worn at all times
• Long shirt and trousers that covers skin recommended when using slides
• Inflatable slide – ages 3-11 years and wave slide – ages 5-11 years
• Sitting on bottoms sliding down feet first
• place arms across chest when sliding down
• No climbing up the front, no jumping, no pushing/pulling and no waiting at the bottom
• Once children reach the bottom they must hop off and line up for another turn
• Any accidents or injuries MUST be reported to a first aid officer or the manager on duty

Anyone not following the safety rules will not be allowed to continue playing on the slide

Do you clean your play areas?

As Kids World is a children’s environment we put a lot of emphasis and time into keeping our play areas hygienic and clean.
Some steps we take:
– Ensuring adults are not entering the play areas with dirty shoes or bare feet
– Ensuring patrons do not take food or drinks into the play areas
– Exclusion for customers experiencing flu like symptoms or vomiting/diarrhea in the previous 48 hours
– Regular daily, weekly, monthly cleaning schedules
– Regularly disinfecting and sanitising play equipment and slides
– Providing hand sanitiser units throughout the store and encouraging use before, during and after play.
– Thorough step by step cleaning guides for: playgrounds, ball pits, toilets, kitchen, tables and chairs.
– Providing thorough step by step hand washing guides in all bathrooms.

If you or your child has experienced illness, diarrhoea or vomiting in the last 48 hours then please do not attend a Kids World centre.

Is there any way children can get out of the centre?

Kids World takes safety and security very seriously and for this reason all children are provided with a wristband upon entry. The corresponding security tag is provided to parents who must hold on to this until the end of their play time.

When leaving these tags must be returned to staff and this ensures the right parent leaves with the right child. This also helps give parents peace of mind when in our centre that children cannot leave without their parent or guardian producing the matching security tag.
